Ever-prone to earthquakes, Japanese homes have a practice of keeping a few gold fishes in a glass bowl. These are the first creatures to know about even the most minute of the quakes. Their restlessness is used as an indication to take the necessary precautions. The fish in the tattoo is perhaps caught in a major quake as I see the water splashing.
